![]() Why did I start Social Skills? Because I connect with business over all day, every day, and this is what I hear over and over again: "I feel like I could do it myself, but I don't know how and I don't have time." You have so much to do - so many boxes to check. It's hard to imagine adding one, or two, or three more. First things first - you can do it yourself. You are the expert of your business and like any accounting course or any human resources course, you need a foundation of basic skill sets so you can take the leap and start doing marketing it. You do know how - social media was built for everyone. Sure, at the start, it's a little overwhelming, but it's built to be reasonably intuitive. Meaning that many elements are as simple as clicking a button. There are pieces of the puzzle that aren't quite as simple, but there is still plenty you can accomplish yourself. It's about learning to make time - I get it. You don't have a lot of time. I'm a small business owner, my husband is a small business owner, my parents are small business owners. Time is valuable. I promise with the streamlined education that Social Skills provides, you'll learn exactly how to plan and execute a huge variety of social marketing opportunities by blocking out a few hours a week. But you do have to be disciplined about those few hours a week. You're going to get out what you put in. You're not alone - I also clean my laptop screen by wiping it with my t-shirt. I also live in a whirlwind of small pieces of note paper with To Do's scattered everywhere. I also take phone calls and try and solve problems in the car with a trunk full of groceries. I do this. You do this. Every small business owner does this. We're all on the same journey. That's why our Social Skills Facebook Group is so valuable. To reach out and connect with others who are experiencing the same road blocks and ah-ha moments you are. This group provides support, encouragement and a level of accountability that helps keep you on track. I want you to be successful. I want you to be excited. I want you only to need to reach out to me once or twice a month with a specific question. That's my end game - to see you thriving and to high five you every few weeks!
